                     We all have a question that, what is the difference in ‘Matter’ and ‘Anti Matter’? We all know about Matter. We all are made of matter you, me, pizza, dog, black matter etc. the well-known scientist Albert Einstein was working on a ‘Theory of Relativity’. And many other scientists are working to find tinny particle which has made the whole universe called ‘Quantum Theory’ these all is done with math lot and lots of math and one physicist named Paul Diroc realized that “X2 = 9 has two solution that is +3 and -3.


                                It means if matter is said to be +3 then there is something opposite to fit in -3 physicists called this opposite three as Antimatter reason that you cannot see antimatter around you is because there exist two opposite particle and they collide in such a manner that they nullify effect of other and give energy called Annihilation. You probably know that all matter is made of proton and electrons well antimatter is opposite called antiproton and positron. Proton is a positively charged heavy particle and the antiproton is negatively charged heavy particle. An electron is light and negatively charged and positron is negatively charged light particle. Again they are opposite they collide and boom finish there is nothing.


                                Even they have these opposite charges; in theory, antimatter is exactly like matter. After the big bang, the universe should have created an equal amount of matter and antimatter according to a physicist. But there is nothing like antimatter around us because in million parts of second after big bang all matter and antimatter collide and boom Annihilation goes on and all the antimatter has gone leaving behind just matter


                                No one knows exactly why the universes have made more matter than antimatter but scientists are making antimatter in their labs to find more about antimatter.

These facilities create antimatter using the particles beam. It converts protons into antiprotons. In center for “European Nuclear Research has made the Large Hydrone Collider (LHC). Antimatter factory takes proton shooting along the Large Hadron Collider and convert those to antihydrogen The Antihydrogen is an anti-version of hydrogen.



How Antimatter is stored?



                                We cannot let antihydrogen too touch matter even no air no fancy container nothing that is made of matter. That is why scientists use a magnetic field to store that antihydrogen inside the trap. They use lots of energy. It little behaves like a refrigerator magnet. It makes magnetic lines in the shape of a bathtub. It is not exactly the bathtub but it just looks like that. The magnetic bathtub is called “Penning-Milberg Trap” magnetic lines trap the antihydrogen to touch anywhere.

                                Do not worry it feels exactly the same to us. Because there is no difference in matter and antimatter. If the universe is made of antimatter then we have just called it to matter and we think I am matter is actually the antimatter. All the things we called positive are just relative if we say “-3” as a positive number then we treat “+3” as a negative number it depends on what we called positive or negative. All the charges are relative and the universe is just called made of matter.


                                Scientists have trapped antimatter for the first time in 2010 after some years they are able to trap dozens antimatter at a time over and over and over again. Practically scientists have made only 10 nanograms of antimatter even energy of antimatter can glow a bulb say four houses but to made antimatter, it takes billion times more energy then it returns back to us. There is no practical application of antimatter. But antimatter is can be used in many medical techniques as Proton Emission Tomography (is used for cancer diagnosis).
